Charlie Cox made his return as Matt Murdock in a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was followed up by his guest role in the last two episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law where he officially suited up as Daredevil again.
A lot of fans celebrated the return of Cox in the role, especially since he has been integrated into the main MCU after starring in the Netflix series which was considered to be a separate universe of its own.
Marvel Studios has a lot of plans regarding Cox's Daredevil in the future of the MCU and fans are looking forward to seeing more of him as part of the main course of the franchise which would hopefully lead to more interactions with other MCU characters.

Charlie Cox Believed His Tenure as Daredevil Was Over Before MCU Return
In his recent appearance at Wales Comic Con (via GamesRadar), Cox opened up about the initial skepticism that he had over playing Daredevil again in the MCU after the original Netflix series ended its run.
He shared that he believed his tenure as Daredevil was already over and wasn't aware of the deal that Marvel Studios was not allowed to use the character for two years following the Netflix show's cancellation.
"I really thought that ship had sailed, you know? I thought it was over. It had been a couple of years since [Netflix's Daredevil had been canceled]. What I didn’t know was there was an embargo on that," the actor said.
"So, there was an amount of time – I think it was probably two years – after the show was canceled before Disney and Marvel could approach us. So, during that time, I didn’t know that. I just thought it was over."
Cox also joked that he thought his co-star Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, was "delusional" when he kept expressing his optimism over returning to their roles.
"And Vincent [D'Onofrio], who plays Wilson Fisk, him and I would chat occasionally on the phone," he continued. "And he would kind of say, 'I’m sure they’re gonna bring us back.' I’d be on the phone being, like, 'Mate, the guy’s delusional! He’s got to let it go."
It was understandable to hear Cox's initial skepticism about reprising the role in the MCU since there was a huge gap between the Netflix show's cancellation and his eventual return.
Perhaps Cox thought that Marvel Studios would recast the character if they decided to include him in the main MCU, but fortunately, that wasn't the case and they welcomed the idea of bringing them back to the delight of many fans.
Cox is set to appear next in Echo where he will show up in a cameo appearance. It will be followed by his own solo series Daredevil: Born Again, which is currently undergoing a creative overhaul.
