I’m in Love with the Villainess Season 2 Is Yet to Be Announced
As of the time of writing, there is no announcement of a second season of I’m in Love with the Villainess.
The final episode of the first season aired on December 19, 2023. Sometimes, shows will have a second season announcement directly after the final episode – Shy and MF Ghost are two examples from the Fall 23 season – but sometimes, announcements happen later.
There's no real time limit on how late a second season can be announced. Some shows, like Horimiya and Masamune-kun's Revenge, had a few years between their first season and a sequel announcement.
So, fans of I’m in Love with the Villainess don't need to give up all hope just yet! However, it would be best to temper expectations.
I’m in Love with the Villainess Has Plenty of Source Material for a Sequel
One thing Villainess has in its favour regarding a sequel is that the story is only just beginning!
The first season of I’m in Love with the Villainess adapts the first light novel and the beginning of the second. There are five volumes in total, all of which are considerably larger than the average light novel.
Volume 2 of the series is a whopping 418 pages long! There's likely enough source material in that book alone for a second season, so that won't be the issue.
Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it's quite rare for yuri-themed shows to get sequels.
Fans of the most popular series of this type, across genres – from school romances like Bloom into You to more action-orientated shows like MagiRevo – are still patiently waiting for sequel announcements.

As there has been no announcement on I’m in Love with the Villainess Season 2 so far, it's very difficult to predict what the future might hold for the series.
Given the lack of announcements so far, combined with the fact that many shows of this nature don't get sequels, we have to conclude that any chance of a second season of I’m in Love with the Villainess is slim at best.
Thankfully, the anime does at least end with something of a conclusion. Villainess' light novels are published in the US by Seven Seas Entertainment, so fans can also pick up the story where the anime ends to see what happens to Rae and Claire!
