New Daredevil: Born Again Set Photo Reveals First Look at Jon Bernthal's Return

A new set photo from the filming of Daredevil: Born Again has revealed our first look at the return of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.

Last year, reports revealed that the Emmy-nominated actor is officially set to make his return as the anti-hero. Fans have been clamoring for his comeback ever since it was announced that a new Daredevil series is in the works.

Weeks ago, Bernthal teased his return as The Punisher in a social media post which made a lot of fans excited as they saw it as a confirmation that he is indeed reprising his iconic role.

Instagram user @littlepandapit recently shared a set photo from the filming of Daredevil: Born Again in Brooklyn where Bernthal was spotted shooting a fight scene.

The fan luckily took a photo with the actor, who was in costume as The Punisher and had fake blood and scars around his face.

This is our first preview of Bernthal's The Punisher and a confirmation that he is indeed working on Daredevil: Born Again since Marvel Studios remains mum on the actor's reported comeback in the series.

There is no doubt that this is an exciting look for fans since there is proof now of Bernthal's return and his appearance will have significance since he is involved in a fight scene.

Earlier this year, Bernthal opened up about his return as The Punisher and shared how he will retain the integrity of the source material.

"I think there’s a reason why that character has resonated as deeply and strongly as he has. In the hearts and minds of comic book fans and first responders and people in the military and people all over the globe," he told Collider.

"I think there’s a little bit of Frank Castle in everybody. He exists very strongly inside me and I care about that character deeply."

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
