We recently learned that Daredevil: Born Again was undergoing a creative reboot after Marvel Studios reviewed the footage that was shot before the strike and realized that the original version of the series wasn't working.

As a result, they decided to restart the project from scratch despite already filming half of the season and let go of its writers and directors to search for new ones to take over.

At the same time, Marvel Studios has also changed its strategy for producing shows as it decided to hire actual showrunners to spearhead its TV projects instead of the old process where it applies the method that it usually does in its movies.

Now, after weeks of searching, the studio has finally found a new creative team for the series and they are familiar names who have stepped into the Marvel world before.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has tapped Dario Scardapane as the new showrunner of Daredevil: Born Again. He replaces previous head writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who will still be credited as executive producers.

The directing team of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who helmed episodes of Moon Knight and the current second season of Loki, were also hired as the new directors of the series.

It is unknown yet how many episodes will Benson and Moorhead direct, but some of the scenes from the previous version will be kept. Marvel Studios also plans to harken back to the tone of the Netflix series.

Scardapane previously worked in Netflix's The Punisher so he is already familiar with the world of Marvel television and is arguably a great choice to take over the project, especially since the reboot is also expected to feature the return of Jon Bernthal's The Punisher.

This is an encouraging sign for the project since it is an indication that it is officially back on track and, if the actors' strike ends very soon, it is likely that they will be able to resume production by early next year.

It also sounds like Benson and Moorhead are becoming in-house directors at Marvel Studios since it will mark their third involvement in an MCU show and it's a sign that the studio has been consistently impressed with their work which could lead to directing an MCU movie at some point in the future.
