Like it or not, post-credit scenes have been somewhat of a standard practice in blockbuster films and more often than not, moviegoers are left wondering if an upcoming release will feature at least one after-credits sequence.

You'll be glad to know that DCU films have had their record of getting their own post-credits scenes. So, now, the question is, does Blue Beetle get its own post-credits scenes, too?

Marvel is not the only superhero franchise that gets to use its own post-credits scenes to set up its multiverse, even the neDC does! But will DC's Blue Beetle get a post-credits scene?

To give you a little refresher, the DC Extended Universe's most recent offerings Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash feature post-credit scenes.

Recently, Blue Beetle fans who got to watch early screenings of the DCU film confirmed two things: the film has not one, but two post-credits scenes!

This could mean huge things for the new DC and Blue Beetle if you think about it.

Not only will this mean bigger teasers for what we can expect from Gunn’s new DCU, but also puts Jaime Reyes wearing the Scarab suit past his solo film debut.

Since the new DCU starts with Ezra Miller’s The Flash, and Blue Beetle is confirmed to be a part of the new franchise moving forward, we can expect those post-credits scenes to be quite crucial for what comes next on the DC roster.

While The Flash teased Barry Miller entering an entirely new reboot of his reality, Blue Beetle getting its post-stinger means bigger things to come for Jaime in the future of DC.

Considering how The Flash post-credit scene ended with a cameo connecting Jason Momoa’s Aquaman still being buddies with Miller’s Barry, there’s a chance Blue Beetle might be up next in joining the Justice League team, as well.

Don’t forget, canonically, Blue Beetle is essentially a part of the high ranks of Justice League International.

So, there's more to explore in how Jaime gets recruited into becoming a part of the larger superhero group than having to fight his battles alone with just his suit.

As confirmed, Blue Beetle did in fact have two post-credits scenes. Let's first discuss the mid-credits scene.

At the great defeat of Victoria 'Vicky' Kord (Susan Sarandon) and her cronies, Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) and the rest of his family gained hope for their future in rebuilding their destroyed home.

Jaime also gets the girl of his dreams, Jennifer Kord (Bruna Marquezine), at the end of the DC film, all the while he still possesses the power of being the Blue Beetle's symbiote host.

But this does beg the question behind the Kord Industries, specifically, what happened to Jenny's father, aka the second Blue Beetle, Ted Kord.

Well, the mid-credits scene answers exactly that.

As the camera pans back to the lab under the Kord family's old house, the lab lights back up, along with a seemingly new transmission coming from the computer.

Coming from an unknown source, the transmission was later revealed to have been none other than Ted Kord himself as he said the words, "Give this message to my daughter, Jenny Kord. Tell her, I love her."

This indicates two things: One, Ted Kord is alive, and two, this could mean Blue Beetle 2 is coming up in the future.

Since a huge part of Kord Industries' failure was due to Ted Kord's disappearance, Blue Beetle 2 could answer more about his discoveries.

Not to mention, he'll be able to train Jaime Reyes at his fullest potential in mastering the Blue Beetle suit's powers and abilities.

As for the second post-credit scene, which does happen after the closing sequence, the video was simply a little clip of the cartoon Uncle Rudy (George Lopez) playing on his machine in the film.

While it may not be related to the future of the DCU, it is possible this was used as a gag toward fans who decided to stay waiting for the post-credit.

It could also be a little celebratory message for Jaime Reyes in becoming the DC Universe's first-ever Latino hero to show up on the big screens.

Despite just being a teenager, Jaime is pretty much the new (third) Blue Beetle continuing the legacy. Here’s to seeing how DC treats Blue Beetle’s entrance into the franchise.
