Disney just dropped the official teaser trailer and our first look at their newest live-action Star Wars series, Ahsoka, and yet Sabine Wren actor, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, is already teasing about the training she’ll be undergoing for Ahsoka Season 2.
“It took a very long time. It took months and months and I’m so glad we had the time because it would have sucked to come in late and then try to rush to be at the level that I wanted to be at.” Bordizzo said in a recent interview with Comicbook.com, “So it took a long time and I think that the hardest part was probably just doing it justice, because you just don’t want it to not be anything but awesome. So reaching that level physically takes time.”
Now, Ahsoka Season 2 was previously reported to already be on the table, and even Rosario Dawson, who’s leading the new show as the titular character, is expectant for a second season. In preparation for the potential Ahsoka Season 2, Bordizzo sheds light on training ahead of the shoot should the series come to an early renewal.
“If we get [Ahsoka Season 2], I’m training from now [on], the minute it’s announced, that I’ll be like back in that, I love it.”

For now, it remains unclear whether Ahsoka is meant to be a standalone or a limited series. Although seeing as The Mandalorian earned up to three seasons, it is possible that Ahsoka could receive the same treatment.
Rosario Dawson, too, is looking forward to a second season, should that happen, “[If Ahsoka does well], maybe we’ll get a second season.”
Ahsoka will also feature Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. Lars Mikkelsen will be reprising his role as Grand Admiral Thrawn. For now, you can watch the official teaser trailer for Ahsoka released by Disney below:
Ahsoka has yet to receive an official release date, but is expected to premiere on Disney+ in August this year!
