As a part of the promotion for the upcoming Wonka movie, the film's lead star, Timothée Chalamet, was given the chance to design his own Nike sneakers. Similar to the film, only five pairs of Wonka Dunks were made, one of which he gave to his Dune co-star, Zendaya.
If you think there are zero odds of getting one of the five golden tickets that Willy Wonka had in his chocolate bars, getting your own Willy Wonka Nike dunks is the closest thing and it's even rarer.
Wonka Nike Dunks are Timothée Chalamet's Golden Ticket
Recently making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Wonka star Timothée Chalamet shared his experience designing the newest Nike dunks to promote his upcoming prequel:
"The idea came from the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where there's five golden tickets. And our movie doesn't have that. I don't want to give anything away, but I thought, you know, how special would it be, if, you know, because sneakers are sort of the golden tickets of the modern world in some way. And it just felt like a good idea for the movie."
How to Get the Wonka Nike Dunks
According to Chalamet, "you can't buy your way" to get your pair of the Wonka Nike dunks. Getting your hands on at least one pair involves entering a competition called the #WonkaPureImaginationContest.
Interested entrants must submit 1-minute videos of their Willy Wonka-inspired work to enter. The only catch is this will only be available to five lucky winners in the U.S.
Chalamet owns a pair of the Willy Wonka-inspired dunks and even revealed during his Tonight Show appearance that he gave one to his Dune co-star Zendaya "'cause she's awesome."
As endearing as it was, the gesture didn't sit right with fans. How come Zendaya had Wonka dunks? Does his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, get one, too?

Fans Are Upset Kylie Jenner Didn't Get a Pair
While the Wonka star likely meant no harm in giving one of his good friends a rare pair of sneakers, fans seem to think he didn't grab his girlfriend her own pair to celebrate his upcoming musical.
Now, before this gets blown out of proportion, fans would be glad to know that Kylie and Timothée's love life is going pretty well, leaning more on becoming lowkey and celebrating each other differently.
As recently reported by Us Weekly, a source detailed about Kylie and Timothée's relationship 'heating up'
"Kylie and Timothée have been dating for a while now and things have become fairly serious over the past few months. Kylie knows they both have been really busy schedules but make as much time for each other as possible."
During Wonka's premiere in Los Angeles on December 10th, the exclusive source told Us Weekly that Kylie and her mother, Kris Jenner, attended the event quietly to give the spotlight to her boyfriend, and rightfully so.
It is worth mentioning that the source also stated that Kylie and Kris skipped the red carpet to ensure that "this night was all about Timothée", which Kylie didn't want to take away from him.
This was also the case when Timothée walked the red carpet separately from Kylie in support of her WSJ Innovator Awards in November. The two were later seen sitting together inside the event.
