Yuri lovers are in for a treat as the new Yuri Is My Job! anime trailer is here, showing off the colorful characters and revealing its April 2023 release date.
Announced back in May 2022, the anime got several announcements over the past couple of months. In particular, the show’s main voice cast and Spring 23 premiere were revealed.
Now, the upcoming yuri anime has an official release date, which means fans of the genre can mark their calendars for the spring season.
Yuri Is My Job! Anime Cast
Many popular anime titles include yuri elements, including big hits like Lycoris Recoil. But for those who want a true yuri experience, Yuri Is My Job! is something that should be added to their watch list.
This is because the anime follows Hime, a high school girl who starts working in a café after accidentally injuring a manager.
It turns out that the café is part theatrical as it features waitresses who act like students at an all-girls school.
The anime won’t be a straight-up yuri romance show though as Hime finds herself falling for another waitress named Mitsuki, who deeply hates her.
Aside from its premise, the show’s voice cast is also a major draw as it features the likes of Yui Ogura (the Priestess in Goblin Slayer) and Sumire Uesaka (Lum in the Urusei Yatsura remake).
The latest trailer also revealed four new cast members, including:
- Minami Tanaka (Mary Saotome in Kakegurui) as Kanoko Amamiya
- Makoto Koichi (Sakura Otome in Lycoris Recoil) as Sumika Tachibana
- Yukari Tamura (Rika Furude in Higurashi) as Mai Mikoshiba
- Asami Seto (Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Nene Saionji

Yuri Is My Job! Second Trailer, Release Date
The show’s main cast is highlighted in the latest trailer, showing off their different personalities and their literally colorful heads of hair.
Along with the cast, the trailer also gives fans a snippet of the opening song entitled Himitsu♡Melody by Yui Ogura. You may check out the trailer here:
Yuri Is My Job! will be released on April 6, 2023, in Japan. Ahead of its premiere on TV, the show’s first two episodes will be screened at a Tokyo cinema on March 25.
Meanwhile, yuri fans in the US and other countries will be happy to know that Yuri Is My Job! will be streamed on Crunchyroll. Though there’s no official release date yet.
