The story follows Yuzu and her fellow fox spirit attendants as they go about their daily tasks in the inn, interact with various supernatural guests, and experience the enchanting and sometimes mysterious occurrences in the magical world they inhabit.

Konohana Kitan is a yuri anime that features subtle romantic undertones and emotional connections between some of the female characters, particularly the fox spirit attendants who work at the hot spring inn.

After separating and then reuniting with her elementary best friend, Fumi, Akira is determined to make their friendship the way it was. But going to different high schools and living separate lives doesn't make it easy.
