A Hollywood premiere event for X-Men '97 was held last night where critics, journalists, pundits, and influencers were also invited to watch the first three episodes in advance.

They were allowed to share their first reactions on social media afterward and weighed in on what they thought of the show's premiere episodes.

Fortunately, the majority of the reactions were positive with praises made towards its animation, story, performances of the voice cast, and nostalgic elements.

Jamie Jirak of ComicBook.com called the first three episodes "absolutely epic" and praised the "beautiful animation," "excellent storytelling," and the drama between the characters.

Meanwhile, Daniel Baptista of The Movie Podcast also praised the episodes for the animation, "banger soundtrack," and called the portrayal of the mutants the "definitive incarnation."

Wendy Lee Szany of The Movie Couple felt nostalgic when the iconic theme song of the series kicked in. She noted that the premiere episodes have "cliffhangers that'll make you scream" and called them "a must watch."

Adam Hlavac of Heroes Reforged noted that the sound design of the series was done with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and the opening title sequence was "stunning in ultra high definition."

It is great to hear that the premiere episodes are receiving rave reactions from the people who have seen them in advance since it is a promising start for the show's word-of-mouth ahead of its debut.

These reactions are also a sign that the audience may have a similar response and it could encourage them to watch the debut episodes the moment it becomes available.

It is interesting to see whether the positive reactions will remain consistent throughout the ten-episode run of the first season.

X-Men '97 is set to premiere with two episodes on Disney+ this March 20.
