What Is the Meaning of ‘With This Treasure I Summon’ in JJK?
Megumi Fushiguro uses the incantation ‘With this treasure I summon…’ to conjure a powerful shikigami.
In the series, Megumi makes several attempts to use this incredible phrase but is always stopped in the middle of recitation.
However, during the Shibuya Incident arc, Megumi successfully recited the full incantation, which is “With this treasure, I summon Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.”
To summon this shikigami, instead of creating a shadow puppet using his hands, Megumi merely extends both arms forward at a slight upward angle, with his fists closed.
Who Is Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga?
Mahoraga is the most uncontrollable shikigami in the annals of the Ten Shadows Technique.
This shikigami is a muscular humanoid form adorned with four wings emerging from its eye sockets. It also has a tail-like extension flowing from the rear of its head.
Above it hovers a wheel with eight handles, spinning in response to Mahoraga’s reactions to fresh stimuli.
The Divine General is clad in black hakama bottoms and wears a white sash around its waist, concealing the majority of its lower body.
Mahoraga is endowed with the capability to adjust to every conceivable phenomenon.
When faced with an injury from a specific assault, the eight-handed wheel turns, enabling it to adapt.
Should its adversary try the same technique once more, Mahoraga will counterattack it.
This adaptive prowess extends to its offensive strategies, allowing it to efficiently penetrate its enemy’s defenses.
Megumi contemplated summoning Mahoraga on two occasions but ultimately did so after sustaining severe wounds from Haruta Shigemo in the Shibuya Incident arc.
However, they would have been wiped out if Sukuna did not appear. A single attack move from Mahoraga would have left Megumi in a state of suspended death until the ritual concluded.
Sukuna then confronted Mahoraga and an intense battle ensued.
The King of Curses emerged victorious in the battle by unleashing Malevolent Shrine to ruthlessly slash Mahoraga, concluding the battle with a flaming arrow that engulfed the Divine General in flames.
