Do Eric and Adam Get Back Together in Sex Education Season 4?
No, Eric and Adam do not get back together in Sex Education Season 4. At the end of Sex Education Season 3, Eric breaks up with Adam after realizing that they are at different points in their lives. Eric explains that he’s “ready to fly”, while Adam is still “learning to walk.”
In Season 4, Eric has moved on, while Adam is still heartbroken (he continues to look at his pictures with Eric). But later on, Adam gets closure. Eric and Adam meet at the funeral of Maeve’s mother and have a chat.
Adam tells Eric that he came out to his parents, and Eric says that he’s so proud of him for doing so. Adam shares that he’s still finding it hard to be fully out, and Eric responds that it’s a long road.
Eric then tells Adam that he has to believe that he deserves good things. He also emphasizes that Adam needs to love himself.
Adam admits that he knows they weren’t right together, but he still misses him. At the end of the funeral, they hug and go their separate ways.
This is the last time we see Eric and Adam on screen together. In the series finale, Adam finds the courage to come out to Jem, a girl he likes at the farm he’s working at.
He shares that his ex’s name is Eric and that he’s attracted to men and women. He then says, “It’s not a phase. That’s just who I am.” Jem then asks Adam out on a date.

Who Does Eric End Up With in Sex Education?
Eric does not end up with anyone in the Sex Education series finale. In Sex Education Season 4, Eric’s storyline is more about his struggles with his religion and sexuality, as well as his friendship with Otis.
Eric is conflicted about being baptized because he wants to live his life both as a Christian and a proud gay man. In the finale, members of the church go to the fundraiser, and the pastor tells Eric that they want the church to be more open and inclusive.
After seeing signs from God and realizing his destiny, Eric decides that he wants to become a pastor.
Eric has had problems with his friendship with Otis too, after he points out how different they are and how Otis doesn’t listen to him or talk about their differences. Talking about Eric and Otis’ friendship, Sex Education creator Laurie Nunn told Tudum:
“For me, Eric and Otis have always been the central love story of the show. Even though the show is about sex, it’s actually really about friendship. Otis can have blinders on and doesn’t realize that he’s very much the lead character in his own life, and he sometimes forgets that Eric is the lead character in his own life.”
In the finale, they rekindle their friendship. Otis says that he couldn’t survive if he lost Eric, and the latter responds that Otis will not get rid of him. So, it’s clear that Otis and Eric will always have each other.
While Eric and Otis did not end up together with anyone in the Sex Education finale, at least their friendship will always be there.
Nunn also shared that she thinks Otis and Eric will always be best friends “as long as they can continue to honor that friendship and have good communication because that’s the key of all good relationships.”
