Does Richter Belmont Die?
No, Richter Belmont is still alive, despite various near-death experiences. Olrox allowed a young and frail Richter to live so that when the time came, he'd be worth killing.
Only Richter's mother, Julia Belmont, died at the hands of Olrox. Julia Belmont allegedly killed Olrox's lover, which is why he pursued her to avenge his lover's death.
Richter also ran into his grandfather, Juste, who looked over him from the shadows at some point in the series. They were ambushed by several naive vampires who felt they couldn't survive on their own.
Richter then used his magical skills for the first time since her mother's death to annihilate each and every one of them.
Does Annette Die?
No, Annette is still alive despite what she has been through in Castlevania: Nocturne. Annette was a former slave who got out of her miserable situation after meeting with the then-opera singer, Edouard.
Annette joined the fight against the abusive vampires and, in the process, honed her magic abilities.
She went to France with Edouard in an attempt to finish what she started. There, she encountered Richter and Maria and joined their revolution against the vampire messiah.
Does Edouard Die?
Yes, Edouard died in the series, but he was later revived as a night creature, thanks to the Abbot, who was actually a forge master. Edouard’s human form may be gone, but his personality and love for music are still alive.
Despite being a night creature, Edouard is not loyal to his forge master. He is loyal to his beliefs, which became the reason why he was caged for most of the episodes of the series.
Does Maria Renard Die?
No, Maria Renard is still alive despite her father’s devious and foolish plans. Maria is a highly capable magic user who can summon mystical animals when engaged in a fight.
She is also a young revolutionary who will not stop at anything to get her point across to her enemies.
Maria was supposed to die in the last episode of Castlevania to complete her role as the Abbot’s sacrificial pawn to Erzebet Bathory. But thanks to her mother, Tera, and the efforts of both Richter and Annette, she survived.
Does Tera Renard Die?
No, Tera Renard didn’t die in Castlevania: Nocturne. However, she sacrificed herself on behalf of her daughter, Maria, to become Erzebet’s loyal vampire servant.
Tera is a very caring and loving woman who will do anything to protect her family. She loves the abbot, but she loves her daughter more. Like Maria, Tera is a highly capable magic user who can decipher grimoires and more.
Does Erzebet Bathory Die?
No, Erzebet Bathory, the vampire queen, is still alive. After she completed her transformation into Sekhmet, she became an even more unstoppable force.
The main protagonist, Richter, along with Maria, Tera, and Annette, can't even touch her!

Does Olrox Die?
No, Olrox did not die in Castlevania: Nocturne. Throughout the final fight between Richter’s group and Erzebet’s group, Olrox was watching from afar.
He was only concerned about his new lover, whom he wanted to save from his own foolishness.
Does Drolta Tzuentes Die?
Yes, Drolta Tzuentes died in Castlevania: Nocturne. She was Erzebet’s most loyal servant and would do anything to ensure the awakening of Sekhmet.
However, Drolta Tzuentes died after she made the bad call of following Richter Belmont and his friends.
She came face-to-face with Dracula’s son, Alucard, whose blade struck her in the heart, resulting in her immediate demise.
Does the Abbot Die?
No, the Abbot is still alive, despite his foolish actions in the series. He is still a forge master who’s in agreement with Erzebet Bathory.
