Erzsebet Báthory is the main villain of Castlevania: Nocturne and one of the main antagonists in the Castlevania games.

She is dubbed the Vampire Messiah and is the queen of vampires. She is also described as “the one before whom evil trembles” and is also called the Devourer of Light.

Erzsebet Báthory is known to not simply kill her victims but to torture them for as long as she can keep them alive. She rejoices in the most terrible agony she can inflict.

Erzsebet Báthory’s goal is to rule the entire world. She promises to “eat the sun” and turn the world into a state of darkness. She also aims to unleash an army of vampires and night creatures.

“Soon, there will be only darkness. And terror will be all they know,” the Vampire Messiah says when she first appears in Castlevania: Nocturne.

The Devourer of Light only appears toward the end of the series, but her presence is surely felt throughout, as the vampires see her as their savior.

Erzsebet Báthory is inspired by a historical figure, and she is voiced by Franka Potente in the Castlevania: Nocturne series.

Drolta Tzuentes serves as Erzsebet Báthory’s right hand and is described as her “attack dog”. In the Castlevania games, she is an old witch who revived Erzsebet from a 300-year-old slumber.

In Castlevania: Nocturne, she bears little resemblance to her game appearance. She’s not an old witch but a vampire and skilled fighter, who’s still loyal to the Vampire Messiah.

Drolta does much of the work for Erzsebet Báthory, like carrying an attack on Tera’s Speaker community in Russia. She is voiced by Elarica Johnson.

Olrox is a vampire who killed Richter’s mother years ago. Olrox is described as a powerful and seductive vampire who plays by his own rules. He’s an Aztec vampire who believes in vengeance as much as justice.

Olrox killed Julia Belmont after the latter killed the only person he ever loved in his life. He swore to kill Richter next, while Richter plans to take his revenge on the vampire too.

However, it seems that Olrox isn’t very fond of the Vampire Messiah, and he later finds himself helping Richter and his companions.

While Olrox doesn’t appear to be on Erzsebet Báthory’s side, he isn’t very trustworthy as well. So, he still belongs in the list of villains in Castlevania: Nocturne. Olrox is voiced by Zahn McClarnon.
