Who Is Lucius in Pokémon Horizons?
Lucius is a legendary voyager who inspired Roy to become a trainer and follow his dreams.
He was first mentioned in episode 4, when Roy talked about his amazing feats, from traveling through different regions, capturing legendary Pokémon, to finding treasures all around the world.
As the plot unfolded, Lucius made quite a few appearances in the series through flashbacks and visions.
He appeared in episode 5 through Roy’s dreams, and he also appeared in a past vision where he was seen asking Arboliva to look for something.
Later, Lucius appears in another vision, but this time, it’s not only for Roy but also for Liko and Friede. He was with Moltres, and they were talking about achieving Rakua.
As it turns out, Rakua is the name of the paradise Lucius was once trying to find with Terapagos, based on the diary Diana found.
What Are Lucius' Known Pokémon?
Based on myths and legends, Lucius has a Black Rayquaza as his main partner while journeying across regions.
Eventually, Lucius found five other like-minded Pokémon: Arboliva, Moltres, Lapras, Entei, and Kleavor, and collectively they are known as the Six Heroes.
Interestingly, these Pokémon are kept in ancient Pokéballs, and they traveled from one region to another until they found paradise.
At present, Lucius’ Rayquaza is with Roy’s grandfather, while Terapagos, Arboliva, Moltres, and Lapras are with Liko.
It is unknown where or what happened to Kleavor and Entei, but future episodes will most likely show what happened to them.

A Reddit user believes that Lucius is not the man that he is, saying he is actually an evil person who looked for paradise with the sole purpose of colonizing it for profit like most villains in the animated series.

On the other hand, some think Tobias knows what happened to Lucius since he might be his direct ancestor. The same goes for those who speculate that Amethio is Lucius’ descendant.
