As she's an original character, she has quite an interesting backstory. Even though she hails from the Paldea region, she starts her Pokémon Horizons journey in the Kanto Region’s Indigo Academy.
There, she receives her partner Pokémon Sprigatito. Instead of going on an adventure to catch them all though, Liko joins the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group of adventurers hired by Liko’s mother to protect her.
Despite going on an exciting adventure, Liko only received her partner Pokémon at the start of the series. This indicates that she’s still quite young.
