The Disney+ Halloween special Werewolf by Night marked the MCU debut of fan-favorite characters Jack Russell, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing. However, since then, they haven't made any other appearances in the MCU despite the teases in the end.
Some fans are starting to wonder whether those horror-centric characters will still show up again in the future or if they will do either a sequel or more Halloween specials as the MCU continues to explore the streaming arena.
However, Marvel Studios has not announced any upcoming specials that are set to release on Disney+ which made the future of the Werewolf by Night characters more concerning.
Now, the director behind the acclaimed special has chimed in and it looks like there is still some hope for fans to see the characters soon.

Director Michael Giacchino Discusses His Ideas for the Future of Werewolf by Night Characters
Speaking with Collider during the recent screening of the special's colored version, director Michael Giacchino opened up about their plans for the future of the Werewolf by Night characters and affirmed his desire to continue their journey in the MCU.
However, while they are toying with ideas on how they will move forward with the characters, nothing official has been yet as the decision is still up to the bosses at Marvel Studios.
"There's always talk. But, you know, until somebody decides to spend a penny, nothing happens yet. So, hopefully. My wish is that, yes, there will be more with these characters," Giacchino said.
"I would love to, and I have ideas of what I would love to do with them, and it's all crazy and nuts, but I think that's the only way to go about it. So, hopefully, one day. Hopefully, one day."
Given that the special was received well by the critics and fans, it should motivate Marvel Studios to explore more of the characters in the MCU or even do a sequel special that will continue their journey.
It's also their opportunity to do more horror stories within the MCU, which is a genre that they haven't explored a lot so far. Hopefully, we will be able to hear more news and updates surrounding the characters' future in the MCU since there are certainly more stories to tell with them.
Werewolf by Night In Color is set to premiere on Disney+ this October 20.
