Jonathan Majors officially made his MCU debut as the Kang variant He Who Remains in the first season finale of Loki and, since then, he has become a fixture in the franchise as different variants of the villain. He is set to play another Kang variant once again in the current second season of the show.

Given that Kang is set as the big baddie of the ongoing Multiverse Saga and there are multiple variants that currently exist, some fans are wondering which version of Kang will actually serve as the main villain when the Avengers face him in The Kang Dynasty.

Is it the Kang that we saw in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? Or is it another variant that we will meet down the line?

Now, it looks like we may finally meet the definitive version of Kang very soon according to one of the key creatives of Loki season 2.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Dan DeLeeuw, who directed the second episode of Loki season 2, teased that the "definitive Kang" has still yet to be shown and he might possibly debut in the current season of the series.

"Oh, interesting. I love all the Kangs, I think Kang's a great character. I don't know that we've seen the definitive Kang yet, in terms of what I would envision the definitive Kang [to be]. I think there's still someone yet to come out of the shadows," he said.

So far, we know that Victor Timely is set to appear in the upcoming episodes and, now, we can expect another Kang variant that will also show up in the rest of the season if that is what DeLeeuw was suggesting.

If we can make a guess right now, they might reveal the definitive Kang in the second season finale similar to the first season finale when we saw a Kang variant appear for the first time with He Who Remains.

The second season of Loki is also expected to be a pivotal chapter in the Multiverse Saga and will plant the seeds for the upcoming Avengers films so this is an opportunity for them to introduce the definitive Kang.

For now, all we can do is wait and see how the rest of the season will unfold throughout the next four episodes and find out where the story eventually leads.

New episodes of the second season of Loki premiere every Thursday night on Disney+.
