Wentworth is one of the most famous TV dramas of its generation. The Australian TV show revolves around lead character Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack), who finds herself in prison after being accused of attempting to murder her husband.

In the early seasons of Wentworth, Bea struggled to adjust to her new life behind bars. Little did she know that there are hierarchies, competitions, and even gangs within the prison.

However, following the fourth season of Wentworth, the creators of the show decided to focus more on the other characters from the series. Bea's story is still explored in the episodes, but other equally notable characters are also given emphasis.

Unfortunately, Wentworth will officially end after season 9.

The cancelation announcement was made in October 2019 after the network said that there will only be 20 more episodes left for Wentworth.

The first 10 episodes already aired last season, and the next 10 are airing in the show's current season.

Despite the cancelation, Wentworth's production company Foxtel is thrilled that the hit series reached 100 episodes.

Years ago, there were rumors that Wentworth would be canceled after season 7. However, the fans of the show signed a petition urging the network to release more episodes.

Shortly after, it was announced that Wentworth will be renewed for another season. And the additional two seasons thereafter appear to be a bonus for audiences.

Throughout the years, fans have noticed that the streaming platform adds the latest season of Wentworth to their roster one day before the final episode from a particular season airs in Australia.

Wentworth Seasons 1 to 3 is available to stream on Amazon Prime. However, you need to pay $2.99 to buy one episode or pay $22.99 to buy an entire season.
