Venom: Let There be Carnage has finally revealed its official Rotten Tomatoes score. Venom 2 will be premiering in theaters starting October 1, and a lot of movie fans have been somewhat anxious about the fact that the critical reviews for the sequel of Venom have been held back for a long time. Oftentimes, a studio that keeps on holding back reviews until the release date of the movie is a sign that the studio has little confidence in how those reviews are going to go. However, Venom 2 seems to be a rare exception.

Currently, Venom: Let There Be Carnage has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 64% with 67 reviews having been submitted. This is not a bad start. On the other hand, the first Venom film stands at 30% with 357 reviews. Tom Hardy recently addressed how the first Venom film was decimated by a lot of critics, but it is clear that it won't be the case this time around. Obviously, the Rotten Tomatoes score of Venom 2 will change in the next few days as more reviews come in but it is safe to say that Tom Hardy's second film as the symbiote will get more positive reviews rather than negative ones.

Here is the synopsis for Venom: Let There Be Carnage:

"After finding a host body in investigative reporter Eddie Brock, the alien symbiote must face a new enemy, Carnage, the alter ego of serial killer Cletus Kasady."
