Despite the frustrating delays, fans are still hyped up about Sony Picture's Venom sequel which finally hits theaters this week. Titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the long-awaited Marvel film will mark the live-action debut of Cletus Kasady, and judging by the stuff we've seen so far, it looks like the film will not disappoint longtime fans of the Spider-Man comics who have been dying to see the titanic clash between the two symbiotes.

Now, ahead of its release this Friday, the good folks over at Sony Pictures have surprisingly released the official clip of Kasady's (played by Woody Harrelson) transformation as the crimson symbiote who will be a huge thorn in Eddie Brock aka Venom's side. Sure, while it isn't exactly comic book-accurate, it's still pretty badass and not to mention, a true sight to behold. Check it out here:

I don't know about you but Venom: Let There Be Carnage is already shaping up to be a better film overall than its predecessor. An epic showdown between Venom and Carnage is to be expected, of course, but I'm really hoping that we'll finally see a cameo from Tom Holland's Spider-Man. With the entire multiverse thing going on, now's the perfect opportunity to make it happen.

It's quite unfortunate though that not everyone in the world can enjoy the film because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, I'm hopeful that the film will be a box office success despite the current circumstances we're dealing with.

Originally set for an October 2020 premiere, Venom: Let There Be Carnage will hit cinemas this Friday, October 1st.
