Venom 2 Star Woody Harrelson Hates His Wig in First Film's Post-Credits Scene

When Woody Harrelson's Cletus Kasady was introduced in the post-credits scene of the first Venom film, a lot of fans were taken aback by the character's odd curly-haired wig. By the time that the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage was released, fans were relieved that the character's hairstyle will be different and called it a welcome improvement from the first one.

Harrelson was recently asked in an interview with IGN about his thoughts on his wig in the first film. He said, "I guess one's hair pretty much defines a person. [laughs] In the first one, I didn't like that wig, that was a bit amateurish. I like what we did in the second one and yeah, I obviously would have say in that, but just the quality of it is better."

The actor admitted that he also didn't like his character's hairstyle in the first film, sharing the same sentiment as most fans. His hairstyle in the sequel according to the marketing materials definitely looks better and we can pretty much say that we're glad that they changed it for the upcoming film. As Harrelson said, one's hair defines a person. His curly-haired wig in the first film makes him look ridiculous and silly while his hair for the sequel makes him look like an actual dangerous person, which is what his character is supposed to be. Cletus Kasady looks more menacing now thanks to the new hairstyle.

Fans have been excited about the sequel since it will showcase the long-awaited face-off between Eddie Brock/Venom and Cletus Kasady/Carnage. The responses to the early screenings have been mostly positive. The general audience has also been responding well to the film's promotional materials. Box office analysts are projecting it to be the number one film on its opening weekend, with a projected number of $45 to 65 million.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is set to be released in theaters this October 1.
