Ahead of its arrival in theaters later this year, Venom 3 has finally set its official title and announced a new release date.

The highly-anticipated threequel will continue Eddie Brock's adventure in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) with Tom Hardy returning as the lethal protector.

There have been questions about whether the third film will be its last and cap off the trilogy featuring the fan-favorite Spider-Man villain.

According to Variety, Venom 3 has been officially titled "Venom: The Last Dance."

The release date has also been shifted to October 25 this year. It was originally slated to arrive in theaters on November 8.

Despite the disappointing box office and critical reception of the recent SSU films, fans are still looking forward to Venom: The Last Dance considering the track record of the first two films.

The new title also suggested that the third installment might be its last one and seemingly confirmed what fans have speculated surrounding Eddie Brock's third solo movie.

Juno Temple, who is set to play a mysterious co-lead character in the film, recently teased what they have in store for The Last Dance.

"We’re coming close to an end at the moment. It’s been a wild, wonderful ride. It’s so new to me. It’s a big set! This is crazy. It’s been so much fun and I got to work with such cool people," she told Variety.

"I’ve been so lucky in my career to just have the most incredible casts. I can’t wait for it to get out into the world. I think it’s going to be a good one."

The plot details remain under wraps at the moment. Aside from Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Clark Backo are also part of the cast. It is unknown whether the supporting cast from the first two films will also return.

Now, fans can look forward to the first trailer which will likely arrive very soon.
