The Marvels marked Kamala Khan's first appearance in an MCU movie following her debut in her solo Disney+ series Ms. Marvel which explored her superhero origins and journey to becoming the fan-favorite hero.

Now that the MCU film is finally available on digital platforms following its disappointing box office run, fans took the opportunity to rewatch it again, and for some people to also check it out for the first time after missing its theatrical release.

However, one of the fans has spotted a major mistake in Kamala Khan's origins in the film which contradicts what was set up in the Disney+ series.

As reported by The Direct, an MCU fan spotted a mistake in Kamala Khan's information that was depicted in one of the scenes in The Marvels.

In a post on X, user @hernandy_s noticed that Kamala's file in the SABER data pad described the character as "Inhuman" and her power is classified as a "Polymorph."

As we all know, in the Ms. Marvel series, the MCU version of Kamala Khan is established as a Djinn and a mutant. Her powerset includes harnessing cosmic energy and manipulating hard light.

The fan speculated that the artist may have copied the information on the character from a comics Wiki page, instead of checking from the MCU depiction which is why the mistake was made.

It is not unusual that an MCU project will make a mistake in brief easter eggs such as this so it's not too surprising to see the film make a flak on Kamala's information

Obviously, it would have been much better if the mistake had been avoided since there have been complaints from some fans about the changes that Marvel Studios made to Kamala's origins and powerset and this would have straightened out the issue.

Now, it is exciting to see what's next for Kamala in the MCU and, as the ending of the film suggested, it looks like we will finally see her team up with other younger heroes.

The Marvels is set to begin streaming on Disney+ this February 7.
