Since alternate timelines and the multiverse are involved in The Flash movie, many surprises and cameos are expected in the film. So, who appears in The Flash movie?
From the trailers for The Flash, we know that there will be different versions of Batman in the film: Ben Affleck’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman. We also know that the Kryptonian who helps Barry is Supergirl, not Superman.
So, who appears in The Flash movie? This article explains the cameos in The Flash movie.

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman helps in the “robbery gone wrong” in Gotham City. Gal Gadot’s cameo isn’t much of a surprise because Ben Affleck already revealed details about this scene months ago.
In the "robbery gone wrong", Ben Affleck's Batman catches a bad guy who was holding a briefcase that could wipe out half of Gotham if it falls into the water. Batman uses his grapple gun, but he almost falls.
Wonder Woman arrives to save him using her Lasso of Truth. She apologizes for being late and compliments The Flash for looking good in his suit. Wonder Woman then says that she has to run and that it’s always a pleasure to help.
In the new timeline, after Barry changes things, we do not get an update about Wonder Woman’s whereabouts. Thus, her future in the new DC Universe (DCU) is still uncertain.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Henry Cavill's Superman is dealing with a volcanic eruption in Guatemala (in television footage, Superman is flying around the volcano while using his heat vision, but his face is not seen). This explains his absence in the "robbery gone wrong."

Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry
In the alternate timeline, Barry calls Arthur’s father (Thomas/Tom Curry) and asks to speak with his son. Tom responds, “You wanna speak to my dog?”
Barry asks if his wife is the Queen of Atlantis, and Tom says “No.” Later on, Tom hangs up and Barry realizes that Arthur Curry was never born.
Temuera Morrison will return as Tom Curry in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (Aquaman 2), which is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 20, 2023.
Nicolas Cage as Superman
This cameo isn’t much of a surprise anymore considering that The Flash director Andy Muschietti (who, by the way, also appears briefly in the film) already revealed prior to the film’s release that Nicolas Cage will have a cameo appearance as Superman.
"Nic was absolutely wonderful. Although the role was a cameo, he dove into it,” said Muschietti in an interview with Esquire Middle East.
"I dreamt all my life to work with him. I hope I can work with him again soon… He is a massive Superman fan. A comic book fanatic,” Muschietti added.
Cage’s appearance in The Flash is his second time in the role as he previously voiced Superman/Clark Kent in the animated film Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.
Additionally, Cage was supposed to play the character during the ‘90s in Tim Burton’s canceled Superman film, Superman Lives.
Even though that film did not push through, at least we got to see Cage as Superman even though it’s just in a cameo appearance.
Christopher Reeve’s Superman and Helen Slater’s Supergirl
Christopher Reeve starred as Superman/Clark Kent in four Superman movies which were released between 1978 and 1987. Due to the success of Reeve’s Superman films, a Supergirl spin-off starring Helen Slater was made.
In The Flash movie, Christopher Reeve’s Superman and Helen Slater’s Supergirl appear beside each other during the multiverse scene.
George Reeves’ Superman
Another version of Superman that appears in The Flash movie's multiverse scene is George Reeves’ Superman. Reeves played Superman the television series Adventures of Superman (1952-1958).
In The Flash movie, George Reeves’ Superman appears in black-and-white, as the first two seasons of the series were shot in black-and-white.
Adam West’s Batman
We also see Adam West’s Batman in the multiverse scene. West played Batman in the 1960s television show and the 1966 film. He also voiced the character in various animated shows before his death in 2017.

Jay Garrick/Golden Age Flash
Golden Age Flash appears in the multiverse scene in The Flash. The character that appeared resembles Teddy Sears' Jay Garrick in The CW series The Flash.
However, in a report from TVLine, sources confirmed that Teddy Sears did not have a cameo in The Flash movie; archival footage from The Flash TV series was not used, and the cameo was a "generic Golden Age Flash representation" not based on a specific actor.
Additionally, Teddy Sears denied having a cameo in The Flash movie. In an interview with TVLine, Sears said:
"I mean… that looks like my likeness. People kept telling me that I was in the new Flash movie… I mean, I’m sleep-deprived with a newborn at home, so my memory is a little foggy. But I’m pretty sure I would have remembered shooting a major DC Studios film. Sadly, I’m not in this."
It makes sense for Teddy Sears' Jay Garrick not to appear in The Flash movie because, in the CW series, Sears played a character who pretended to be Jay Garrick and was later on revealed to be Hunter Zolomon/Zoom.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau appears briefly in The Flash. However, he doesn’t appear as a hero or a villain; the actor appears as a guy eating some pizza.
The scene is quick, but fans of Game of Thrones who have seen The Flash would probably notice the actor in there.

George Clooney as Bruce Wayne/Batman
George Clooney appears at the end of the movie. Clooney played Bruce Wayne/Batman in the 1997 film Batman & Robin.
In The Flash movie, after Henry Allen’s appeal, Barry receives a call from “Bruce Wayne”. This Bruce congratulates him, and Barry tells him that he has so much to tell him.
Bruce arrives, but it’s not the Bruce Wayne who Barry was expecting. Barry says “You’re not Batman”, and Bruce responds “What’s wrong with you?”
So, it appears that Ben Affleck is no longer Batman in the new timeline. However, we have yet to see if Clooney will remain as Batman in the upcoming DCU movie, The Brave and the Bold.
Jason Momoa’s Aquaman
After Barry changes things in the timeline, he meets up with a drunk Arthur Curry/Aquaman and tells him about his experience with the multiverse.
In The Flash post-credits scene, Barry helps a drunk Arthur out of a bar and explains that there are many versions of Batman and that they are all Bruce Wayne, but each of them was a completely different person.
However, as for Aquaman, they are “pretty much” the same guy, “lovable” and “furry”. Barry then tries to explain what happened in his timeline, but Arthur falls into a puddle.
Barry tells Arthur to get up, but the latter demands more beer. Arthur then gives Barry his ring, which is some Atlantean treasure, so that he could get more beer.
The post-credits scene establishes that Jason Momoa is still Aquaman, and it suggests that he will continue to play the character in the DCU. And the fact that Aquaman is “pretty much” the same person explains why Aquaman 2 will not really be affected by the changes in the timeline.
