After the trailer of The Flash movie was released, there have been a lot of rumors and fan theories surrounding the film and the DC universe itself. Among them include an appearance of the Amazonian hero Wonder Woman in the upcoming Flash movie.
However, Gal Gadot’s cameo in The Flash movie was reportedly cut, and news on another Wonder Woman film hasn’t really been great either.
But recently, Ben Affleck, who will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman one last time in the upcoming Flash film, revealed a potential spoiler about the character’s appearance in the film.
Will Wonder Woman Be in The Flash Movie?
Ben Affleck was recently on the Smartless podcast talking about his role in The Flash and how proud he is of the “best work” he’s done as Batman.
"That movie is really good," Affleck said. He added that it’s the best work he’s done as Batman and that he "finally figured out how to play the guy."
In the podcast, the actor further revealed that he shot a scene with Gadot's Wonder Woman in The Flash movie. According to Affleck, Wonder Woman was going to save Batman using her Lasso of Truth.
“I don’t wanna give a spoiler, but it was a scene where I get caught, I get saved by Wonder Woman during a conflagration with some bad guys,” Affleck said. “And she saves me by– I mean, I’m sure the spoiler, DC assassins are gonna get me, but she saves me with the Lasso of Truth. And so what happens is that Batman divulges some of his real feelings about his life and his work… I was like, ‘wait a minute, I got it!'”

Wonder Woman’s Latest Appearance on the DCEU
Billy Batson/Shazam temporarily dies in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. In the burial scene, Freddy asks the Wizard Shazam to resurrect Billy, but the Wizard said it was no longer possible because the staff’s power got drained. He added that only a god could bring back the staff’s power, but there were no more gods left in their world.
Wonder Woman then arrives and says there’s one more god left. She uses her godhood to power up the staff to bring back Billy to life. Billy then reunites with his family and uses the staff again to restore his siblings’ powers.
Gal Gadot’s cameo in Shazam 2 is her latest appearance in the DCEU, but it may be her last too.

Wonder Woman’s Fate in the DCU
Wonder Woman’s appearance in the latest Shazam film raises questions about her future in the DCU. It should be emphasized that Gal Gadot’s cameo appearance was decided during the previous regime of DC before James Gunn took over. A third Wonder Woman film wasn’t announced as part of the DCU slate.
So, Shazam! Fury of the Gods can either be a sign that Gadot’s Wonder Woman will be staying, or it’s an unofficial farewell. And although we would love to see Wonder Woman again in The Flash movie, it’s highly possible that the scene Affleck was talking about wouldn’t make the final cut.
