The Flash: Iris West Actress Says The Movie Has Been Put on Hold

Originally planned as a Flashpoint movie, The Flash has been one of the odder movie projects from Warner Bros. Many felt that Ezra Miller's version of the character from Justice League was one of the best parts of the mediocre movie, with some hoping that he would get a spinoff film sooner or later. It looks like that's going to be a later as Iris West actress Kiersey Clemons says the movie has been put on some sort of hold.

Variety was able to speak with the actress where she revealed that most of the film's cast knows very little about the upcoming movie. Apparently, they have an idea on who the director will be but aside from that, the cast doesn't seem to know what else is going on. Clemons even says that she won't be working on the movie this year but hopes that they start in 2019.

The lack of details might be infuriating for some but it is good that the studio is taking their time to make it watchable. It seems to be in a similar situation to the Black Adam movie, which also doesn't have a lot of updates. Hopefully, that changes soon.

No release date for The Flash has been released, though the people in the studio are hoping that it wraps up filming by the end of 2019.
