The Flash Movie To Begin Production In UK In February 2019

DC Extended Universe's The Flash standalone movie has gone through several changes even before the movie has begun production. Nevertheless, it looks like Flashpoint is happening and will be filmed in the United Kingdom early next year.

Omega Underground has just confirmed that The Flash movie will be filmed at the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, UK. This means Ezra Miller will be returning to the location where he shot Justice League, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The report did not confirm the actual production date just yet. However, the studio is currently being used by Wonder Woman 1984 which could mean Flashpoint will be able to start filming by February 2019.

The Flash movie has lost two directors in the past. Although Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) was originally signed on to direct, he dropped out due to creative differences. The same could be said about Rick Famuyiwa (Dope). The film will reportedly be helmed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Flashpoint will also star Billy Crudup (Almost Famous), who previously appeared in Justice League as Barry Allen's father. Kiersey Clemons (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) has also confirmed that she will play Iris West in the movie.

Although The Flash movie was initially slated for release in 2018, the project has been moved back in favor of other DCEU films. Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed a release date but the movie could premiere in 2020.
