Marvel's The Fantastic Four Reportedly Casting for Silver Surfer

A few days ago, Marvel Studios finally revealed the casting for the MCU's First Family in the highly-anticipated film The Fantastic Four after several months of speculations and rumors surfacing around.

Now that they have settled on the quartet of actors who will play the heroes, fans are looking forward to seeing who will play the main villain that the First Family will face in their MCU debut.

So far, the studio remains mum on the casting of the film's antagonist, but we can safely say that we will find out about it in the coming months leading up to its production start later this year.

Marvel Studios Is Currently Casting the Silver Surfer Role in The Fantastic Four

According to veteran reporter Jeff Sneider, Marvel Studios is currently meeting with actors who will potentially play the Silver Surfer in The Fantastic Four.

He also reported that Javier Bardem is still the studio's top choice for the casting of Galactus although the scheduling has to be figured out since he is also working on another project.

In addition, while Silver Surfer and Galactus will likely be the main villains of the film, Doctor Doom is still slated to appear but only in the end. The casting won't be made for the role until later on.

So far, Marvel Studios has not commented on nor confirmed the claims that Sneider made in his recent report.

If this is all true, it sounds like Galactus and Silver Surfer are indeed going to be villains of the film and it's interesting to see how it all plays out since they are major figures in the Fantastic Four canon.

Now that we know who is going to play the First Family, fans should look forward to hearing who will play the Silver Surfer and whether Bardem is indeed going to be Galactus. There are a lot of actors that can certainly fit to portray the former.

The Fantastic Four is slated to arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
