The Crown Season 6 is now in production and will cover the late 1990s through the mid-2000s. As this will include the beginning of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship, here are the four possible major storylines about the couple that will make it to the show.

Netflix has dropped the first look at The Crown Season 6, showing the young Kate and Prince William, played by Meg Bellamy and Ed McVey. As fans saw the now-Prince of Wales play a larger role in the fifth season as a pre-teen, fans would see more of him and Kate’s relationship as young adults.

Prince William and Kate’s First Meeting

On a list made by Screen Rant, fans would surely get to see Prince William and Kate’s first meeting.

The young prince (Senan West) broke the tradition in the fifth season by attending Eton College instead of Gordonstoun, where his father, King Charles III, and grandfather, Prince Philip, went to.

There, he met Kate during his first year, though they didn’t start their relationship for another year.

Though The Crown Season 6 will not explore the now-Princess of Wales’ younger years, it has been known that she has a different upbringing compared to most of the royal family members.

Her being a commoner marrying into the royal family drew worldwide attention. Hence, fans will see more of this in the upcoming season.

The Turning Point of Prince William and Kate’s Relationship

Kate’s much-talked-about college fashion show, The Art of Seduction, in 2002 was seen as the major turning point in their relationship.

The Duchess of Cornwall donned a see-through dress designed by a fellow student at the time, getting Prince William’s attention.

It wasn’t long before things turned romantic between the two in 2003. As Kate is now known for being one of the most stylish and influential royals, this fashion scene may surely be featured in The Crown Season 6.

Prince William and Kate’s Breakup

After starting their relationship in 2003, Kate and Prince William briefly broke up, though they got back together after just two months.

The heir to the throne told ITV News they just needed a little space at the time amid the claims that the media attention had gotten to Kate.

Kate’s First Meeting with Queen Elizabeth II

After being together for five years, Kate finally met Queen Elizabeth II at the wedding of Prince William’s cousin Peter Phillips to Autumn Kelly in 2008.

The prince said his grandmother wanted to meet his then-girlfriend and warmly welcomed her. And, of course, this would be seen in The Crown Season 6.

After their 2011 royal wedding, Kate and Her Majesty developed a close relationship, traveling and doing royal duties together.
