The Big Bang Theory Spinoff: 5 Possible Plotlines the New Series May Tell

Another The Big Bang Theory spinoff is coming, and the show's creator, Chuck Lorre, is again at the helm. As there are no words yet on what this new show will be, here are the five possible storylines the series may focus on.

Max, the new name for HBO Max, announced the coming of the second The Big Bang Theory spinoff. With the success of the main show and its first spinoff, Young Sheldon, the upcoming series will surely not be short of new stories to tell.

Raj's Love Story

In a list made by Screen Rant, it topped the story suggestions with one of the original series' main characters, Raj (Kunal Nayyar).

The show ended with Raj remaining single. Hence, the spinoff can explore Raj's love story, especially since he's known to be fond of falling in love.

As the series felt unfinished for some, the upcoming spinoff is the best way for it to give justice to this storyline.

Missy's Character

Missy (Raegan Revord), Sheldon's (Iaian Armitage) twin sister, comes out as the breakout character from Young Sheldon.

Though she's not like her brother, it can't be denied that she's bright, resilient, and sweet.

As The Big Bang Theory tells less about her life, the spinoff may be the perfect way to know more about this character.

Fans know how Sheldon (Sheldon Cooper/Armitage) loves her grandmother, Meemaw (June Squibb/Annie Potts), in both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.

However, there's a big shift in her character between the two shows.

She's a fun, loving, and rebellious grandmother in Young Sheldon, while she becomes an older version of Mary in The Big Bang Theory.

If she becomes the center of the new spinoff, fans will see what happened to Meemaw between the two timelines.

Georgie Cooper's Marriage

Though fans learn more about Georgie (Montana Jordan) in Young Sheldon, his story with Mandy (Emily Osment) is a little slow.

Many know his marriage with Mandy ends up in a divorce. And by the time he meets Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, he's already a big-shot businessman.

So, what happened in between? It's probably a good plotline for the spinoff.

Beverly Hofstadter's Icy Demeanor

Despite being cold, many have loved Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) mother, Beverly Hofstadter (Christine Baranski).
