It may have taken much longer than expected, but the Sword of the Demon Hunter anime finally revealed its cast in a brand-new trailer.
This series has been in the works for years now. Given the lack of info, some feared that it would be delayed or canceled. Thankfully, an update was shared a few months ago.
Now, the show has a proper trailer that shows off actual animated clips. The trailer may be short, but it still gives fans a good idea of what to expect.
Which Studio Is Animating Sword of the Demon Hunter?
The Sword of the Demon Hunter anime was announced way back in September 2021. At the time, the original light novel was still ongoing, as the series only ended in November 2023.
Despite the novel series’ conclusion, fans can still enjoy the manga adaptation as its story has not yet wrapped up. New chapters are still being released in Futabasha’s Action Comics.
Soon, fans of the series will also be able to enjoy the series in anime form, with production courtesy of Yokohama Animation Lab.
This studio has been quite prolific recently, as it has worked on shows like last season’s The Kingdoms of Ruin and this season’s The Witch and the Beast.

Sword of the Demon Hunter Trailer Reveals Main Cast
A Sword of the Demon Hunter trailer was finally shared on February 22, and it includes a selection of clips. Despite not highlighting the characters much, the trailer did get released along with cast details.
Playing the lead role of Jinta is Taku Yashiro, the voice of Sanosuke Sagara in the Rurouni Kenshin remake.
He is joined by Reina Ueda as Suzune. Ueda is another popular VA who voiced popular characters like Miyo Saimori in My Happy Marriage and Lemon Irvine in Mashle.
Rounding out the main cast is Saori Hayami as Shirayuki. Hayami is best known for voicing Yor Forger in Spy x Family and Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer.
Sword of the Demon Hunter Anime Release Window Revealed
Previously, the anime was confirmed to premiere sometime in 2024. Finally, a release window has been revealed.
The Sword of the Demon Hunter anime is currently set to premiere in the summer of 2024. Thus, it’s likely that it will premiere in July 2024, though there’s no specific date range yet.
Fans will need to wait a bit longer for release details. Those who can’t wait to know what it’s about can read the manga and light novel series which are published in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.
