We're only two weeks away from Andor's premiere, but now a new trailer has been dropped hyping up the first three episodes of the upcoming Star Wars series. In addition, it looks like the Rebellion has a grand plan to go up against the Galactic Empire!
The new trailer for Andor opens with Cassian Andor admitting that the Rebellion is made up of spies, saboteurs, and assassins, and all these people have done terrible things on behalf of the Rebel Alliance.
But how far is Cassian Andor willing to go? In an exchange with Luthen Rael, Cassian is offered the chance to "do something real" that would give the Rebellion an upper hand. However, it will come at a high price.
The trailer seems to point towards Luthen Rael as the true mastermind in a grand scheme to take down the Galactic Empire. At one point, Mon Mothma confronts Rael for his actions, stating that people will suffer. However, Rael is unrelenting, willing to risk everything for his cause.
There is a lot of new footage in the latest Andor trailer which also reveals the identity of Adria Arjona's character. It is confirmed that the Good Omens star is playing Bix Caleen who appears to be one of Cassian's allies.
The Andor trailer was dropped at D23 Expo where Lucasfilm also announced that production on Season 2 is set to begin soon (via Comicbook.com). With that in mind, it sounds like the second season will be coming a lot sooner than expected.
Andor has an ensemble cast led by Diego Luna, who previously played Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He will be joined by Rogue One co-stars Genevieve O'Reilly and Forest Whitaker. The series is set for a three-episode premiere on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
