This is great news for fans who want to relive the action in Rogue One. The film, which was released in 2016, followed Jyn Erso, the daughter of a research scientist who worked on the ultimate weapon of the Galactic Empire. Together with the Rebel captain Cassian Andor, Jyn leads a group of rebels on a mission to retrieve the plans of the Death Star and deliver them to the Rebel Alliance.

Rogue One introduced fans to the unsung and initially nameless group of rebels who sacrificed themselves to gain the Rebel Alliance's first major victory against the Empire and were only referenced briefly in the Star Wars: A New Hope opening crawl.

Andor will serve as a prequel to Rogue One, following Cassian Andor before the events in the film. The series will bring back Diego Luna as Cassian, Genevieve O'Reilly as Senator Mon Mothma, and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera.

You can purchase tickets to Rogue One here. Andor is set for a three-episode premiere on Disney+ on September 21, 2022.
