There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to Ahsoka but Lars Mikkelsen has a warning for fans who are expecting a climactic ending. The Star Wars Rebels actor, who will return in the upcoming Disney+ series, says people will not see what's coming until the final scene.
Lars Mikkelsen was recently confirmed to reprise his role as Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka and he joined the cast of the upcoming show at Star Wars Celebration 2023. Interestingly, Mikkelsen finally admitted he has read Dave Filoni's screenplay and he has nothing but praise for the series creator.
"His writing is very good. It's very strong," he told Collider. He then pointed out that Filoni's script will keep fans on their toes all the way to the end.
"All the characters have their own drive, and you will probably not know what's it all about until that very last scene and I like that," Mikkelsen said. "I like that writing, that takes its audience so seriously, that you can see for yourself that we drag it right to the reveal. What was the whole thing about?"
This certainly is an exciting tease for Ahsoka considering that everyone has certain expectations of what will happen in the series. But what does Lars Mikkelsen mean with his comment? Could a surprise character show up at the last moment? Will the show tease a sequel or a spin-off series? We'll surely find out this August.
Ahsoka will bring back Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn. They will be joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. The series has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere on Disney+ in August 2023.
