Ahead of the show’s finale, Spy x Family released a new Cowboy Bebop-inspired music video for Part 2’s ending song entitled color by Japanese singer yama.
While the new music video doesn’t feature much new footage, it might just be the most unique music video that the series has released to date.
Spy x Family Music Videos
Shortly after the premiere of its first episode back in April, Spy x Family quickly became one of this year’s hottest shows.
Many believe its popularity is thanks to its interesting premise along with the loveable characters, especially Anya Forger.
While the series’ two cours had a split broadcast schedule, the series continued to be one of the most-streamed anime even during the Summer 2022 season.
Now, it’s fair to say that it is one of this year’s biggest anime hits.
To celebrate its success and to further promote the show, several music videos were released, featuring songs that were used in the anime.
A recent music video is for the show’s second opening song entitled Souvenir by Bump of Chicken.
While this video is mostly a compilation of the Forger family’s best moments in the anime, it does also feature brand-new animated scenes.
Another music video that was released earlier in the season is the song Good Day by [K]NoW_NAME, which was used as an insert song in the series.
This music video is a tribute to Anya Forger, the ever-popular and meme-worthy youngest member of the Forger family.
Cowboy Bebop-Inspired Video for “Color”
The latest Spy x Family music video might not mention it, but its visuals are pretty much a tribute to Shinichiro Watanabe’s iconic 90s anime series Cowboy Bebop.
Specifically, this music video for color features scenes from the anime that are edited to look like the opening of Cowboy Bebop, including the colors and design elements.

For the most part, this video doesn’t have new footage, though a lot of effort was put into making it look like the Cowboy Bebop opening, which is fitting given its spy-action premise.

Aside from celebrating the Forger family, this video comes just in time for the show’s 25th and final episode which will be released this weekend.
While the first season is about to end soon, Spy x Family will continue with Season 2 and a brand-new movie coming in 2023.
