After sharing the film’s poster and synopsis recently, the upcoming anime film Spy x Family Code: White released its first trailer that finally gives fans their first look at footage from the movie.
This is the first new Spy x Family anime footage released since the first season’s end back in December 2022.
However, it will be a while before fans will be able to watch the film, as it’s set to release first in Japan in the 2023 holiday season.
Spy x Family Movie Features an Original Story By Tatsuya Endo
It’s fair to say that Spy x Family was one of the most popular shows of 2022. After all, it was nigh impossible to avoid seeing any of Loid, Yor, or Anya on social media during the show’s run.
On top of its online popularity, the anime was also among the most-watched shows on streaming platforms in Japan.
Given its success, it’s no surprise that the show was quickly renewed for a second season.
While Season 2 is highly anticipated by many, an anime film was also revealed back in December, which will feature an all-new story.
This is an interesting choice, especially considering that the trend in anime now is for movies to adapt certain arcs of a manga instead of going with a new and original story.
But fans won’t have to worry as series creator Tatsuya Endo is writing the film’s story.
Not to mention that the series’ premise is pretty much perfect for a standalone movie.

Spy x Family Code: White First Look in New Trailer
Just last week, it was revealed that the movie Spy x Family Code: White will follow the Forger family as they go on a trip so that Anya can learn to cook a particular dish which might help her get a Stella.
Now, the new trailer was released, and it gives fans a better idea of what to expect.
From the looks of it, while the movie will start with a lighthearted cooking premise, it will quickly become packed with action.

While the TV anime did have its fair share of action, most of it was focused on Loid’s spy missions.
Though based on the trailer, it seems that Yor will also show off her assassin skills in the upcoming movie.
Spy x Family Code: White will release in Japanese cinemas on December 22, 2023. There’s no word yet on when the film will be released internationally.
