Spy x Family fans continue to be treated to more projects. Aside from the new season and movie, the first-ever Spy x Family video game titled SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories was announced.
This new game was revealed at the recent Nintendo Direct. There, details about its gameplay were revealed.
Unlike most anime game adaptations though, this one is more of a chill game that should be great for younger fans of the series.
Spy x Family Gets an Unexpected Video Game Adaptation
Most popular anime get video game adaptations, especially Shonen Jump titles. For instance, the big three Jump franchises – Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto – all have numerous video game spinoffs.
Meanwhile, other Jump series like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, and more have also gotten video game releases, though most of these are action-heavy titles.
Spy x Family is an exception as its game is a decidedly lighter affair, which perfectly matches the show’s story and atmosphere.
The new game, SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories, will let the player take on the role of Anya Forger as she gets tasked to create a photo diary.
Instead of a game that recreates the story of the anime, this upcoming title will feature wholesome slice-of-life moments featuring the Forger family.
This game can be described as a life simulator as the player’s goal is to take memorable photos of various daily life scenarios as Anya.

SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories Revealed in First Trailer
While the game was announced at the latest Nintendo Direct, publisher Bandai Namco revealed that the game won’t be Switch-exclusive. On its website, the game is also confirmed to be released on PS5, PS4, and PC.
The game was revealed via an official trailer with an English voiceover explaining the various scenarios that players can expect. These include a beach outing, a trip to the museum, school class days, and more.

Of course, the game won’t just consist of heartwarming scenarios. It will also feature 15 types of mini-games inspired by the anime that were originally made for the game.
SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories will be released on Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC sometime in 2024. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
