Ahead of the next episode’s release, Insomniacs After School announced that the popular anime voice actress Sora Amamiya will soon join the show to voice a new character.
The announcement of Amamiya’s casting in the anime was revealed on the Insomniacs After School official website and Twitter account. There, Amamiya mentioned her approach to voicing this intriguing new character.
Specifically, her new character is Haya Magari, who was mentioned previously in the series’ seventh episode.
Sora Amamiya Is the Next VA to Join Insomniacs After School
With Sora Amamiya joining the cast, Insomniacs After School has an even more stacked VA list.
After all, the series features several notable VAs, including Mamiko Noto (Sawako in Kimi ni Todoke) and Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna in Sword Art Online).
As for Amamiya, she’s a popular VA that should be familiar to many anime fans. Though her best-known role is likely the useless goddess Aqua in KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!
Along with KonoSuba, Amamiya also has a selection of other popular characters that she voiced.
These include Chizuru Mizuhara in Rent-A-Girlfriend, Touka Kirishima in Tokyo Ghoul, Nazuna Nanakusa in Call of the Night, and more.
On top of her voice acting career, Amamiya is also a notable singer, and she’s part of the J-pop girl group TrySail.
The group has performed various anime songs over the years, including the opening for My One-Hit Kill Sister.
Amamiya’s latest role is Haya Magari. And as her name implies, Haya is the sister of Isaki Magari.

Insomniacs After School: Who Is Haya Magari?
Haya is confirmed to appear in Episode 9 of the anime, though it was mentioned that Isaki has an older sister in Episode 7.
Aside from mentioning Amamiya being the voice actress, the website also reveals that Haya is a college student. Haya’s character art was also shared on the site.
However, there’s no mention of Haya’s personality on the website, so it’ll be interesting to see what her relationship with Isaki is like.
What was revealed is that Amamiya channeled her inner older sister for this role.
Regarding her experience voicing Haya, Amamiya said that she has a younger brother, so this helped her with the role.
New episodes of Insomniacs After School are released every week on TV Tokyo in Japan and on HIDIVE in the US.
