Shonen Jump titles have gotten lots of video games over the years, though this one might be one of the most exciting yet. That’s because the new Shonen Jump mobile game titled JUMP: Assemble features an all-star lineup featuring Luffy, Naruto, Goku, and more.

This upcoming mobile game was announced just recently by DeNA, and it’s a five-on-five multiplayer game where players can select from a roster of iconic Jump characters.

JUMP: Assemble isn’t the first big crossover Shonen Jump game, as there have been a couple of titles that did something similar.

From One Piece to Dragon Ball, Shonen Jump is the home of numerous popular battle shonen titles. So, it’s no surprise that the publisher Shueisha has tried to bring them all before in one action-packed game.

One of the most notable games that Shonen Jump tried to do so is Jump Force, the arena fighting game by Bandai Namco which was released back in 2018.

This game was significant as it features a huge roster of Jump characters. Aside from popular characters like Luffy and Ichigo, it also featured the likes of Ryo Saeba from City Hunter and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.

Despite its impressive roster, Jump Force received mixed reviews upon launch. It did get decent sales numbers, but it was not enough to make it a certified hit. Sadly, the game was discontinued in early 2022.

Shueisha is keen on trying again though, this time with a new crossover mobile game.

As a MOBA, the game will play similarly to games like League of Legends or Dota 2. But what makes it unique is that its roster is composed of iconic Jump heroes.

In the game’s reveal, characters from eight titles were confirmed to be playable. These include:

JUMP: Assemble is set to release first in East and Southeast Asia sometime in 2024. However, some lucky fans can play the game now as its Closed Beta Test is ongoing in selected countries.

For now, there’s no word yet on US release plans for the game. Considering Jump’s popularity in the US though, chances are that it will be released in the country sometime next year.
