Shang-Chi 2 will feature the return of the Defenders character Iron Fist according to a recent scoop from a well-known insider.
Following the success of the first film in 2021, Marvel Studios began development for the sequel with Destin Daniel Cretton returning to write and direct the character's next solo adventure in the MCU.
Fans have been looking forward to the follow-up as Shang-Chi has not made more appearances yet and now it looks like he will be teaming up with another hero for the next movie.

Shang-Chi 2 to Begin Filming in 2025, Iron Fist Will Appear Based on New Report
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Shang-Chi 2 is set to begin production in 2025 and it will feature time travel elements.
He claimed that Iron Fist would also make an appearance. However, he didn't specify whether Finn Jones from the Netflix series will reprise the role or it will be recast with another actor or a different character is taking the mantle.
It was also noted in the scoop that it will be the same version of the character that is set to debut in the upcoming Eyes of Wakanda animated series.
So far, Marvel Studios has not confirmed the claims that were made in the report.
Ever since the sequel was announced, fans have been clamoring for Iron Fist to become involved and join Shang-Chi in action since they have some connections in the comics and are both martial arts heroes.
If the scoop ends up being true, a lot of fans will be delighted as it also marks the character's official debut in the MCU since the Netflix show was canceled and brought back some of the actors from the DefendersVerse.
It is interesting to see whether Marvel Studios will bring back Jones for the role or they'll take a fresh new direction instead.
