Saw X is a part of the ever-growing slasher franchise, this time, featuring the long-awaited return of Tobin Bell re-claiming his titular role as the main Jigsaw Killer.

Considering that the Saw X post-credit scene implies more that this is not the last time we'll be seeing John Kramer, will there be a potential Saw XI in the future of the franchise? Here's what we know so far.

As of writing, Saw X has just been released in theaters, so renewing the latest installment ahead of its box office records would be a bit too premature.

However, the Saw X director Kevin Greutert did not blow off the potentiality of expanding the franchise even more, especially now that they got Tobin Bell back as the titular notorious Jigsaw Killer (via GamesRadar):

“There’s no obvious new direction to go after this film. But I think there probably will be more Saw movies, particularly if this one is successful.”

The least we can do for now is wait until Saw X reaches a hit at the box office until the film reaches its third weekend in theaters. After all, this would be one of the only ways to determine if the fans themselves are seeking more of Jigsaw's traps in the future.

Possible Saw XI Cast: Who Could Be Jigsaw’s Next Victims?

While we have no confirmation news on a Saw XI coming to fruition any time soon, the possible cast for it will likely focus on the three Jigsaw killers, as seen in what Saw X featured.

Tobin Bell’s comeback gave Saw X producer Mark Burg a second chance at making the Jigsaw Killer return to the big screens after having open regrets about killing him far too early on in the franchise.

John’s vendetta of being a suicide survivor granted him a renewed form of personal goal to help the people around him realize the value of life.

In this case, it’s by setting up traps to make his ‘victims’ learn to appreciate their life more and that is by getting rid of their ‘addictions’ or ‘vices.’

Of course, given the huge success of bringing the titular serial killer back would do wonders for the Saw franchise, so the creatives won’t lose their leverage as long as they keep playing with the protagonist.

Apart from Bell, Shawnee Smith’s Amanda Young is one of Jigsaw’s earliest apprentices far into the game. Many fans were pretty satisfied to see her make her return, as well, this time, as a part of the nostalgia of getting to watch her work beside John Kramer.

Don't forget, the return of Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) in the post-credit scene caused quite an uproar in cinemas, seeing as they were just about to torture Henry Kessler (Michael Beach), who was hanging in the original Saw room.

As for who the victims might be would highly depend on the storyline the directors and producers want to explore in Saw XI.

But to speculate, a close personal offense against John Kramer could do the trick, much like how the con artists in Saw X suffered for fooling him with their so-called 'miraculous cure' for his illness.

Saw X is a prequel story of the events that happened after the first Saw film, but right before Saw II came into the picture.

John Kramer’s backstory usually only happens as flashbacks in the previous films, which leaves more to the imagination on what fans could look forward to in Saw XI.

Saw III, as you may or may not remember, had the Jigsaw Killer supposedly meet his death after his untreatable terminal illness. But then Saw X depicted the events between Saw and Saw II which was how the latest installment even got Tobin Bell back on the ride.

Now, with the post-credit scene showing Detective Hoffman, who was also supposedly dead in Saw 3D, alive and working with John Kramer again.

This prequel might as well serve as another comeback showcasing what the three Jigsaw Killers (alongside Amanda Young) in the potential Saw XI!
