It has been a while since the first season ended, and finally, Sabikui Bisco Season 2 is official, and it was confirmed with a new teaser visual featuring the two main characters.

The anime’s second season renewal was announced via the new visual which was shared on the show’s official Twitter account.

Though there aren’t many details about the new season, the show’s cast will likely return given that the studio from Season 1 is also coming back to animate the next installment.

While the Winter 2022 season was stacked with big titles like Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 and My Dress-Up Darling, Sabikui Bisco is a show that also got some attention thanks to its post-apocalyptic setting.

The show’s first season ran from January to March 2022, and it consisted of 12 episodes. And while it was a moderately successful show, the anime did not get a second-season announcement in the year that followed.

Finally, Sabikui Bisco is coming back with Season 2, though there’s no word yet on when exactly fans can expect the show to return.

Given how light the details are in the announcement, we probably won’t see the show premiere this year.

After all, at this point, the big Fall 2023 shows such as Frieren and Tokyo Revengers already have new trailers.

Still, despite the lack of new information, what is confirmed is that the original studio will return for the new season – good news when it comes to the continuity of its production and animation style.

Specifically, anime studio OZ is once again handling animation duties for the second season.

You would be forgiven for not being familiar with OZ though, as the studio’s only work so far is Sabikui Bisco.

Given that the studio will return for Season 2, we’ll likely see the cast members from the first season return for this new installment.

Season 1’s cast includes notable voice actors, including Ryota Suzuki (Ishigami in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War), Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro in Demon Slayer), and Reina Kondo (Nagomi in Akiba Maid War), among others.

As only the new teaser visual above was revealed, fans will likely need to wait a bit longer before a Season 2 trailer is shown.

Given this, it’s likely that Sabikui Bisco Season 2 will be released in 2024, possibly during the Winter or Spring season.
