What Will Re:Zero Season 3 Be About?
As its long full title indicates, Re:Zero is an isekai anime. In it, we follow Subaru Natsuki, a hikikomori sufferer, who gets transported into a fantasy world on his way home from the convenience store.
There, he tries to help Emilia, a half-elf and a candidate for the Kingdom of Lugulia's throne. This attempt, however, costs him his life.
To his surprise, he wakes a few hours in the past. After a few more deaths, Subaru understands his newfound ability; he can return each time he dies.
Subaru decides to apply this gift to help Emilia win the throne. On the way, he makes many friends.
To complicate matters, Subaru undergoes a lot of pain each time he dies, not to mention that he carries traumatic memories of his many deaths, which are forgotten by everyone but him.
Judging from the first teaser, the new season will adapt the arc wherein Emilia and her friends visit Anastasia in Watergate City.
Unfortunately, they get trapped when the Witch Cult captures the city. Subaru must now unite all the neighboring tribes to gain enough support to rescue Emilia and the others.
In the meantime, if you would like to do some reading ahead, Re:Zero is based on a light novel written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shin'ichirō Ōtsuka.
There's also a manga adaptation by the same author with art by Daichi Matsuse.

Re:Zero Season 3 October 2024 Release Date Window Revealed
It has been a long time coming, but finally, Re:Zero Season 3 has an official release window.
In the new trailer released at AnimeJapan 2024, the third season was confirmed to premiere in October 2024. For now, there's no word yet on an official release date.
As there was a gap of nearly four years between Season 1 and Season 2, it's no surprise that Seasons 2 and 3 also have a four-year gap.
Where to Watch Re:Zero Season 3
Re:Zero Season 3 will likely join the show's previous seasons on Crunchyroll. There's no announcement yet from Crunchyroll regarding Season 3 streaming plans though.
The first two seasons got English dubs too, so we expect the same to happen with Season 3.

What Studio Is Producing Re:Zero Season 3?
Re:Zero Season 3 will be produced by White Fox. The Studio is known for a few of the most well-rated anime ever, such as Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0.
It is also home to the first season of the reverse isekai The Devil Is A Part-Timer!
The previous season's main voice actors who portray Emilia (Rie Takahashi, also Megumin from KonoSuba) and Subaru (Yuusuke Kobayashi, also Senku in Dr. Stone) are also set to return.
Re:Zero Season 3 Official Cast Members
On March 25, 2023, the Re:Zero voice actors celebrated the series' renewal with a few comments on the isekai anime's official website.
Yusuke Kobayashi, the voice of Subaru (also Tenza from Hell's Paradise) said:
Thank you for deciding the 3rd season of Re:Zero! The ties between Emilia's camp will become stronger, the number of reliable allies will increase, and Subaru will surely be at ease...
I didn't think anything of it! I'm sure you'll see more hell. But my heart is ready! Let's resist fate!
Rie Takahashi (also the voice of Ai Hoshino in Oshi no Ko), who is voicing Emilia, echoes the enthusiasm:
I can't help but be excited about what kind of days are waiting for me by facing this season's Re:Zero.

- Yumi Uchiyama as Puck (also young Aqua Hoshino from Oshi no Ko)
- Inori Minase (also the voice of Akane in Loving Yamada at Lv999!) as Rem
- Rie Murakawa (also Nishio from Tsuki Ga Kirei) as Ram
- Satomi Arai (also Kuroko Shirai from A Certain Scientific Railgun T) as Beatrice.
In Anime Japan 2024, it was revealed that Aya Yamane has joined the cast as Liliana Masquerade.
Yamane is an anime VA known for her roles such as Riho Tsukishima in The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses and Secelia Dote in Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
