RELATED: The Best New Isekai Anime

  1. I Shall Survive Using Potions

I Shall Survive Using Potions revolves around a 22-year-old office lady named Nagase Kaoru, who wound up in the isekai world after a strange night.

She was about to go home and rest, but a goddess brought her to the isekai world and gave her the power to create insanely useful potions!

There are a lot of potions that Kaoru can use to survive! From high-level healing potions to power-up potions, Kaoru can do any combination or blend she likes.

It turns out that Kaoru has a much more interesting life in the isekai world than in the real world.

Before I forget, Kaoru is the only one capable of saying goodbye to her family in the real world after being isekai’d!

  2. By the Grace of the Gods

Have you ever heard of someone dying as a result of sneezing? Unlike other isekai protagonists who died after falling off a building, being stabbed, or being hit by a truck, the protagonist of this isekai anime died in a very unusual and embarrassing fashion.

Ryoma Takebayashi sneezed four times before falling off his bed, hitting his head, and dying from a brain hemorrhage in By the Grace of the Gods!

When Ryoma awakens, he finds himself in a fantasy world where he assumes the identity of a young boy named Celford.

In the new world, Celford lived a simple and peaceful life, along with all sorts of slime that surrounded his home.

Celford spends his days with these creatures until one unfortunate day.

Thanks be to God, Celford can fend for himself since he can use all sorts of elemental magic with the help of the slimes!

  3. Handyman Saitou in Another World

Handyman Saitou in Another World tries to be a different Isekai anime in the sense that it doesn’t follow the usual power fantasies told in every Isekai show.

Instead, this isekai anime relies on comedy and running gags, which can either be a hit or a miss for the Western audience.

Also, it doesn't really feel like you're watching an isekai show when you watch this anime.

It is a lighthearted adventure comedy cut into short episodes like School Rumble, Cromartie High School, and Azumanga Daioh.

There’s barely a plot, so don’t expect much in terms of storyline progression.

Handyman Saitou in Another World is about a thief who brings his tool kit and equipment with him to another world.

Saitou uses his tools to assist the people with various tasks, such as opening a treasure chest and repairing their equipment.

  4. Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World

This ecchi and isekai anime is not afraid to show NSFW scenes such as slavery, nudity, and violence that are not for the faint of heart.

If you're under the age of 18, I strongly advise you to skip this one and instead watch the other Isekai anime on this list.

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is your typical isekai anime in which the protagonist finds himself in another world, fighting bandits and leveling up his skills and abilities at an astonishing rate.

The only problem is that the main character goes to great lengths to kill bandits to get laid with a curvaceous slave!

This was his sole motivation in the first four episodes, and if you're the type of isekai fan who enjoys watching this type of premise, then go ahead and watch it now.

  5. Black Summoner

Black Summoner is your typical isekai anime, complete with an overpowered main character, a harem, and intense fights designed solely for plot purposes.

Despite this, Black Summoner is a very enjoyable anime due to its likable characters, decent animation, and soundtrack.

It follows Kelvin, a young man who dies in the real world only to meet with a goddess before reincarnating in a fantasy world. It's similar to the scene in KonoSuba but much more serious.

Kelvin tries to bring the goddess along on his new adventure, but he needs to be powerful enough in the fantasy world to summon her instead.

Expect a lot of fights because Kelvin is a huge battle junkie!

  6. Parallel World Pharmacy

Parallel World Pharmacy, as the title suggests, combines isekai, medicine, and various diseases into an engaging storyline.

It's a laid-back and relaxing isekai anime with a premise similar to Ascendance of a Bookworm, Restaurant to Another World, and Drugstore in Another World.

Kanji Yukitani dies from overwork after struggling to find a cure for his younger sister.

After dying, Yukitani assumes the identity of Pharma, a young boy from a noble family known for their healing magic and divine arts.

Expect to see a lot of medical terms and different types of drugs in Parallel World Pharmacy, as Pharma does his best to share his knowledge with the new world.

  7. Skeleton Knight in Another World

At first glance, Skeleton Knight in Another World appears to be a rip-off of Overlord, but there is no resemblance between the two shows.

The only thing that connects them is their main protagonists, who are both undead skeletons.

While Overlord is darkly humorous, Skeleton Knight in Another World is lighthearted and has a ludicrous plot.

Skeleton Knight in Another World introduces Arc Lalatoya, who takes on the identity of his skeleton avatar in the game he was playing all night.

Arc sets out on a journey to help the people he meets along the way, all the while looking for a way to return to his human form.

  8. How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

If you enjoy fantasy politics, kingdom management, and public affairs, this isekai anime may be for you!

In How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, a high school student named Kazuya Souma tries his hardest to rebuild a bankrupt kingdom.

After gaining the king's favor, Kazuya employs his methods to manage the kingdom's affairs and live a decent life in another world.

Unlike other shows that have fighting sprinkled throughout their episodes, this Isekai anime focuses heavily on the kingdom's political and economic affairs, which may sound boring to some.

  9. Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs

When it comes to this isekai anime, fans are divided; while some enjoy it, others wish they hadn't wasted their time watching at least one episode.

Trapped in a Dating Sim made headlines due to its unique and absurd premise in which the main character tries his hardest to become an NPC background character but ends up being drawn into the story no matter how hard he resists.

In a world where women reign supreme and only the men with the most handsome faces have privileges, Leon uses his knowledge of the otome game to create a new era where he can finally be at peace without the pressures of the real world.

  10. The Dungeon of Black Company

This bizarre isekai anime mocks capitalism and money. It heavily relies on jokes about societal structures, capitalist society, and the exploited working class.

The Dungeon of Black Company is a gag isekai anime about Kinji Ninomiya, a young and established man behind a real estate business at the age of 25.

Things were going well for him until a huge hole sucked him into another world, where Kinji found himself at the bottom of the hierarchy!

Unfortunately, Kinji will have to work his way back up the ladder to regain his status, even if it means mining for a capitalist corporation that does not treat its workers well.

  11. I’m in Love With the Villainess

I'm In Love With the Villainess

Are you fond of playing otome games? Do you spend time chasing the perfect anime guys in such games?

If so, then you can survive in another world if you ever get a chance to be transported there! However, make sure that you’re chasing the bishounens and not the villainess!

In I’m in Love With the Villainess, an ordinary office worker named Rae suddenly gets transported into the game she has been playing for a very long time.

Unlike other female leads, Rei is not interested in her male leads; instead, she wants to pursue the villainess, Claire Francois!

No matter how hard Claire tries to push Rae away, the latter will not stop at all costs to win her heart!

  12. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skills

This isekai anime is a breath of fresh air not only because its concept is unique but also because of its endearing main character.

Meet Mukoda, a 27-year-old man whose only redeeming feature is his ability to order groceries and cooking equipment from a Japanese online store and have them delivered directly to the fantasy world.

Mukoda's power is unique, but let's be honest: it's not the kind of ability that will help others, unlike heroes, wizards, or arch-priests who can defeat various types of creatures.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skills demonstrates that it doesn't need unnecessary Isekai tropes or MMORPG elements to be a fun and entertaining show.

  13. Butareba

Good news! You have been isekai’d to another world, but bad news: you’re reincarnated as a cute and healthy pig.

What will you do? Will you survive in a fantasy world, or will you be cooked in an instant?

In Butareba, an otaku suddenly wakes up in the fantasy world after eating raw pork liver. There, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a pig.

Good thing he is in the care of a beautiful girl named Jess, who can read minds. Will the pig ever become human again in Butareba?

  14. Reincarnated as a Vending Machine

In this bizarre and wacky isekai anime, our protagonist dies after attempting to save a falling vending machine.

His undying love for vending machines brought him to the isekai world, where he discovered that he had been reincarnated as a sentient vending machine.

Our vending machine protagonist then meets a beautiful blonde girl named Lammis, who gives him the nickname "Boxxo."

As it turns out, Boxxo is a very useful vending machine capable of protecting Lammis and even feeding an entire army!

  15. Am I Actually the Strongest?

Am I Actually the Strongest? tells the story of a shut-in who reincarnates as a baby prince in the isekai world. Sounds fancy, right? However, the royal family abandoned the baby after knowing that he only has a low magic level!

In reality, the goddess gave the baby 1,000 times the normal amount of magic!

Now known as Haruto, he strives hard to protect his new family, particularly his little sister, all the while dealing with foes who are coming after his life.

  16. Tales of Wedding Rings

Tales of Wedding Rings is an isekai anime that revolves around two best friends, Satou and Hime, as they juggle their new life as husband and wife in another world. It sounds like a slice-of-life series, right?

While Satou is an ordinary teenager, Hime is a princess who came from another world. She is actually Princess Crystal Novaty Nokanautica, the bearer of the rings of light, who is set to marry Prince Gisarthus the second.

Since Satou is head over heels in love with his childhood best friend, he follows her into another world, only to crash her wedding and steal her away from Gisarthus!

Now, Hime has bestowed the ring of light on Satou, and he is tasked with saving the fantasy world as its new hero!

  17. As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World

In this new isekai anime, an ordinary salaryman dies in the real world only to find himself reincarnated in the fantasy world as a child aristocrat, Ars Louvent.

In addition, Ars also receives a unique “appraisal” skill that allows him to see others’ abilities and status.

Ars belongs to a minor noble family that owns a small domain. Now, he aims to expand their domain by finding and recruiting the best people with the best hidden talents.

From a fledgling swordsman named Rietz, a girl who has a knack for magic named Charlotte, to a shy and young bookworm, Ars will do anything to succeed!

Note: This isekai anime will premiere in April 2024.

  18. Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord

Yumiella Dolkness has it tough in life. She was a former college student in Japan who suddenly found herself inside the Otome RPG game, Light Magic and the Hero!

However, Yumiella is not the heroine, but a minor side character who harasses the heroine as the villainess.

This time, Yumiella might be in bigger trouble as everyone around her thinks that she’s the new Demon Lord! Her jet-black hair also adds fuel to the fire, since the previous demon lord also had the same hair color!

Yumiella only wanted to live peacefully, but after maxing out her level, things would be difficult from here on.

  19. Fluffy Paradise

Do you love animals? Do you adore fluffy creatures? In Fluffy Paradise, a 27-year-old office worker dies from overworking and finds herself reincarnated in the fantasy world as Osfe Nefertima, the third in succession in the Kingdom of Gashe, Rashia.

Before her reincarnation, Midori encounters a strange person whom she believes is God. He asked for her assistance to determine whether humanity should exist in the fantasy world, considering their oppressive behavior.

Midori accepts such heavy responsibility in exchange for having a unique power. God then grants Midori a life full of fluffiness, in that she will be loved by all creatures, except humans!

  20. Re:Monster

While some reincarnate as a newborn baby or a bizarre object in the isekai world, Tomokui Kanata has been reincarnated as a baby goblin in Re:Monster.

In the real world, Tomukui was a strengthened man (a boosted man) whose life was cut short after his stalker, Aoi Kirimine, stabbed him multiple times with the B-rank electrified knife, the Nenekaruri.

When he woke up, Tomokui learned that he had become a goblin named Rou. It’s up to him to survive in the wilderness by feeding on some monsters and establishing hierarchies.

Rou’s new life has begun, and he is set to become the strongest goblin leader in the isekai world!

Note: This isekai anime will come out in April 2024.
