Prince Andrew reportedly has no plans to leave his Royal Lodge house "without a fight" amid King Charles III's instructions to vacate his 20-year home and move to a much-smaller Frogmore Cottage to save on the royal budget.

Allegedly, King Charles gave Prince Andrew the keys to Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's former home in London, two months ago. However, the Duke of Sussex wouldn't back down and let his youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, live there instead when she visits the family.

King Charles Wants Prince Andrew to Move to Frogmore Cottage

Aside from saving on the royal budget, the monarch's decision to have the Sussexes vacate Frogmore and let his younger brother live there was said to be part of his plan to shake up the royal household structure to slim down and modernize the monarchy.

However, he won't back down that easily, knowing Sarah Ferguson's ex-husband has been living in Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park since 2003.

"Andrew is adamant that he is staying at Royal Lodge for the remainder of his lease," a source told OK! magazine.

"He will not move into Frogmore without a fight. Royal Lodge is his home, and he will do everything in his power to remain in the property," the insider continued. "Prince Andrew was given the keys to Frogmore quite recently and was expected to move in this summer."

The tipster revealed that Princess Eugenie is already in Frogmore to help move out Prince Harry and Meghan's stuff while her dad continues to hold on to the 30-room Royal Lodge.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have Reportedly Accepted Losing Frogmore Cottage

According to Express, Prince Harry and Meghan were surprised at the eviction but later accepted King Charles' decision, losing their Frogmore home.

The couple has already started moving their things out of the house.

"Prince Harry and Meghan's eviction seems a bit pointless really because there will now be an empty property on the Windsor estate, which seems counterintuitive to the King's new plans for cutting costs," the source stated.

The late Queen Elizabeth II gifted the controversial pair their Frogmore home after tying the knot in 2018. Despite stepping down as senior royals and moving to California in 2020, they kept the property as their house in the U.K. whenever they visited the country.
