It was with much anticipation that Pokemon Horizons premiered in Japan back in April.

After all, aside from being the next installment in a beloved anime, this is also the first Pokemon series to not feature Ash Ketchum as the protagonist.

Though its international release has been confirmed before, there hasn’t been any update about the English release.

Finally, The Pokemon Company has broken its silence on the show’s English release as Pokemon Horizons got a sneak peek of the first episode which follows Liko. You can check it out there:

As a 10-minute clip, this is a must-watch for series fans as it gives a peek at what to expect from Liko, which is important as she effectively replaces Ash.

From the looks of it, Horizons will have an interesting dynamic between Liko and her Sprigatito as they don’t get along.

This is rather reminiscent of Ash’s first encounters with Pikachu back in the original anime.

Along with the sneak peek, a new trailer for the show was also revealed which not only features Liko but also the other main character, Roy.

While it’s shorter at just over a minute, it’s still a must-watch for fans of the series.

On top of the new trailer, it was also revealed that Crispin Freeman (Gyomei Himejima in Demon Slayer) has been cast as Friede in the anime.

You can listen to Freeman’s voice as Friede in the show’s English trailer here:

Pokemon Horizons premiered in Japan on April 14. Unlike other anime, Pokemon shows don’t get released with only English subs in the US.

Instead, fans need to wait for the English language version to get released.

For now, there’s no word yet on an official release date, though it will likely be available in the coming months.
