Another isekai anime is coming next season as The New Gate revealed its April release date alongside a new trailer.
This show was previously announced back in November, and since then, more details about the show have been shared.
On top of the new trailer and release date, the show also revealed more new cast members, many of whom should be quite familiar to anime fans.
The New Gate Anime Main Voice Cast Announced
The New Gate is an upcoming isekai anime. As with most shows in the genre, it’s based on a light novel series of the same name.
Along with the ongoing novel series, there’s also a manga adaptation that’s published in North America by One Peace Books.
For its anime adaptation, three new voice cast members were revealed. On top of the previously revealed cast, the show’s confirmed VAs now stand at seven. They include:
- Kensho Ono (Ryunosuke Akutagawa in Bungou Stray Dogs) as Shin
- Asami Seto (Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Schnee Raizar
- Kaede Hondo (Eiko Tsukimi in Ya Boy Kongming!) as Tiera Lucent
- Miho Okasaki (Rimuru Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as Yuzuha
- Shunya Hiruma (Tomoya Mashiro in Ensemble Stars) as Wilhelm Avis
- Akiho Suzumoto (Aika Natsukawa in The Dreaming Boy is a Realist) as Millie
- Kaori Ishihara (Tiese Shtolienen in Sword Art Online) as Rashia Luzel
Which Studio Is Animating The New Gate Anime?
This new isekai series is being produced by Yokohama Animation Laboratory, an anime studio that has been quite busy over the past years.
In fall 23, the studio produced The Kingdoms of Ruin. Soon after, the studio worked on The Witch and the Beast, which is currently airing this season.
After The New Gate, the studio is jumping right into another project titled Sword of the Demon Hunter. This series also got a trailer yesterday.

The New Gate Anime Release Window Revealed
The New Gate’s premise should be familiar to most isekai fans. After all, it features an online game where its protagonist is the strongest player.
After defeating the final boss, the protagonist Shin will finally be able to free all the other players who are stuck in the game. Instead of being able to escape, Shin finds himself in the game’s world 500 years later.
The New Gate anime will premiere in April 2024. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date. There’s also no info on where it will be streamed for fans in the US.
