Morfydd Clark Opens Up About Playing Galadriel Beyond The Rings of Power Season 2

We already know that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is returning for Season 2 but how many seasons can we expect? Morfydd Clark reflected on the possibility of playing Galadriel over the next few years.

It was previously reported that Amazon Prime is planning multiple seasons of The Rings of Power, meaning that the main cast will be working on the show for several years.

But what does Morfydd Clark have to say about playing Galadriel for almost a decade? Clark opened up about being a part of The Rings of Power for several seasons.

"I've always wanted to do something where I could revisit a character because you feel kind of a grief when you say goodbye to them," she told Collider.

"And so, I was really excited by the idea that I could be with this character for years and see her change, and also kind of be with a group of actors for that much time."

"It's something that I hadn't done before, and being on stage, being in a movie, being kind of one-off in a series, or being in it completely from season to season, it's so radically different," Clark continued.

"And so really this was an itch I really wanted to scratch," she added. "I can't believe that I've got to be in a recurring character, and she's Galadriel," Clark concluded.

There is little doubt that Galadriel will be a major part of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power until its final season and this means Morfydd Clark will be playing the Lady of Light for a long time.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 is currently in production but has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is already expected to return on Amazon Prime sometime in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
