Where You've Seen Madison Hu Before
Before Madison Hu got the opportunity to star alongside Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh in The Brothers Sun, she previously starred as Frankie Wong in the 2016 series Bizaardvark, Anda in the 2021 science fiction film Voyagers, and most recently, as Bethany in The Boogeyman flick.
In her earlier years of acting, Madison was featured in the Disney Channel Stars: DuckTales Theme Song back in 2017, as Marci in Best Friends Whenever, and even as a part of Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR Prom video.

Grace's Role in The Brothers Sun Explained
Madison Hu plays the role of Grace Hwang, Bruce's (Sam Song Li) classmate and potential love interest. After making her first appearance in Episode 2, Grace has always made the first move to start a conversation with Bruce, even if it's small talk about taking the exam together.
By Episode 4, Grace was the reason Bruce's family found out about him being kidnapped by the enemy.
Not to mention, the series shows how Bruce's family doesn't know him that well, considering they weren't aware he was interested in doing improv until Grace mentioned it to them.
The Brothers Sun Creator Praises Madison's Audition
The moment Madison walked into the Sun house for the first time and said the words, "Oh, my god. This is just like my parents' house," the creators knew they had already found their Grace Hwang for The Brothers Sun.
As co-creator Brad Falchuk recalled why they chose Madison, "When we met [Madison] after her audition before the callback, she was in her dorm room Zooming with us, which is always fun and exciting when you find somebody that fresh but not raw at all. I was very, very impressed with her. I think everyone was. I'm excited to see where she heads because I think she has a really bright future."
The official synopsis for The Brothers Sun reads:
When the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is shot by a mysterious assassin, his eldest son, Charles (Justin Chien) heads to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (Sam Song Li) — who's been completely sheltered from the truth of his family until now.
But as Taipei's deadliest societies and a new rising faction go head-to-head for dominance — Charles and Bruce must figure out what brotherhood and family truly means before someone takes them out.
